Curb Appeal

The first impression can make or break a deal:  Take a drive through your neighborhood, notice what you like and dislike about the houses in your area.  When you return home, before getting out of your car take a good look at your home.  What impression would you have if you were a potential buyer?  The curb appeal will make a big impact on potential buyers.  The outside (particularly the front) should look inviting, the lawn mowed, hedges trimmed, sidewalk swept clean, etc.  Remove piles of junk, put away kids toys, lawn equipment and anything that creates an eye sore.
Remember you can always hire a professional home inspector.  This will allow you to make any major adjustments before the buyers inspector shows up.
